This leads to a discussion of priorities based on the descending importance of satisfaction and financial impact. The distinction between creating wealth through work and preserving wealth through investing is drawn. Value considerations in spending habits (such as depreciation and carrying costs) are then discussed with specific advice regarding real estate and automobiles because of their positions among the largest expenditures in life (after retirement and dependents).
